Freda Sowell was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and has resided in Cypress TX since 2015. Freda has three handsome sons John Sowell Jr., Jeremiah Sowell and Joshua Sowell that she is so very proud of.

Freda earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing and Health Administration and Bachelor degree in Nursing. Freda’s goal in life is to impart life into everyone she encounters, through teaching, training, or just an encouraging word.

Nursing has led Freda to many different leadership roles and ultimately teaching future nurses. With Freda’s passion to see the best in a individual she started (SECG) Sowell Education Consulting Group, LLC in 2017, an education group that reaches men, women and young adults to empower them to be their best, through understanding that Education is only Knowledge unless applied.

Freda’s number one joy is spending quality time with family and friends, and always take time out for self-care.

LOVE LETTERS TO MY BLACK SON

You are the reason I want to breathe every day. You are the reason I want to be a better person. You are the reason my world exists. The moment you arrived into this world, and I looked into your eyes, I saw a pure love, an innocent uncontaminated love that I wanted to protect from the wilds of this world. I want you to know that you matter, your vision on life matters, and standing on what you believe matters.
